Love Others.
When Jesus gave us the Great Commandment, he didn't stop with Love God. He said there's another command that is just as significant as the first: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
Love does
As a church, we're committed to loving others in tangible ways, in ways that make a positive difference in our community and our world. Whether it's installing a well in India or building a school in Zambia or preparing a meal for one of our homeless friends, we're at our best when we're serving others in Jesus's name. After all, he was the one who said, "Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other."
more than a feeling
Clearly, Jesus viewed love as more than a feeling. While he never discounted human emotions, even weeping at the grave of his friend, Jesus's example is one of love in action. He showed us what an all-in kind of love looks like. No limits. No restrictions. And that's the kind of love we try to emulate at Eastpoint. We do that through numerous ministry initiatives, including these primary focus areas: children and youth; local outreach; groups and classes; global outreach; college and career.
one more thing
It takes work to love others well. And sometimes things get messy. As a church, we're focused on helping people cultivate healthy, life-giving relationships. So no matter where you're at on your spiritual journey or what stage of life you find yourself in, we're committed to walking with you every step of the way, because that's what love does.
If we can serve you in any way, please let us know. Our inbox is always open, and our phone is always on: office@eastpoint.org or (302) 738-4415.
