Teaching Pastor ~ Tom Ward Sr.
Tom serves as a weekend Teaching Pastor at Eastpoint, as well as our Senior Pastor. With over 30 years of church ministry experience, including a bachelor’s degree in religious education and a doctor of divinity degree, Tom’s most comfortable when he’s casting vision and creating change. He’s very uncomfortable when things are standing still, which is probably one reason why he moves around so much when he’s preaching.
In addition to his service at Eastpoint, he’s also one of the Co-Founders of Partners In Ministry, a non-profit ministry dedicated to the spread of the Gospel. Tom and his wife Gloria, live in Newark, DE.

Teaching Pastor ~ Joseph Knapp
Joseph Knapp, Eastpoint’s Assistant Pastor is responsible for spiritual formation, discipleship and leadership for our youth groups and young adults/college and career groups. While he has his hands full running around and eating pizza with the young people, we are also pleased to have him provide pulpit fill and assistance in many other areas of church life. Pastor Joe has a bachelor’s degree in Biblical studies and over ten years of experience in youth ministry.

Pastor of Counseling and Connection – Scott Klingberg
Scott Klingberg is responsible for counseling ministries and connecting people with each other, primarily through our Lifegroups. In addition to Scott’s more than 20 years of ministry experience, he has a Master’s degree in Christian Education and is currently finishing a second Master’s degree in Counseling.
In addition to his ministry at Eastpoint, Scott also works with CentrePoint Counseling in Maryland and serves as a technical consultant for several ministries. Scott and Karen reside in Elkton, MD with their two daughters.
