Dear Members and Friends,

Sunday, October 23, 2011 is going to be a very special day at our church as we host our second annual Agape Feast. In the early church every time they celebrated the Lord’s Supper they called it an Agape (love) Feast. It was a time to remember the price that Jesus paid on the cross for our sins. It was also a time to rejoice and show their love for God and each other. It was literally a love feast.

On this special day we too will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and show our love for one another. We will be having a dinner (a feast) together immediately following the service as they did in the early church. This is a great time to come together as one in Christ and show our love!

Please take the time to invite someone to come with you on this special day. Maybe you could invite someone from work or someone who hasn’t been to church in a long time who really needs a dose of God’s love. Let’s really make the Agape Feast a day to remember by showing our love to others and fulfilling the greatest commandment to love one another. Please pray and participate. You could make a huge difference in someone’s life this week!
